WOOF: @jennafischer // Parenttrapped!

  • Eris Mainstage 167 Graham Ave Brooklyn, NY, 11206 (map)

DOORS: 6:45 PM

SHOW: 7:00 PM

The BCC is interested in a little narrative comedy, so we’d like to reintroduce WOOFs! These are 25-30 minute narrative shows in development that will share slots every Sunday at 7pm.

With free rehearsal times and the goal of a 60-minute narrative show, you could woof too. (We mean you should submit your show.)

Come see narrative comedic works like you know you want to.

This week:

@jennafischer

Written by Winnie Stack

Featuring voice over by Will Braithwaite

Picture this: You just turned eleven years old. You discover Neopets, you come up with elaborate dances at sleepovers, and you eat chicken fingers for every meal — life is fantastic.

Until, one fateful day, you turn on the TV and discover a show called “The Office.” You’re laughing, you’re crying, you…realize you’re in love with a 34-year-old straight woman. Suddenly things are far more complicated.

@JennaFischer is a comedic one-woman show that tells the story of a budding lesbian and how she came to terms with her sexuality through her obsession with an actress. Through original journal entries, characters, audience interaction, and lots of dancing— Winnie invites audiences on a journey into her adolescent brain’s innermost thoughts and unrequited love.

Parenttrapped! A Semi Gay Fantasia on Somewhat National Themes

Written and Performed by Gus Mahoney, Nigel Berkeley, and Jordan Reising

Directed by Daniel Holzman

Two 20 something aspiring stars meet in a dive bar bathroom in the east village and convince themselves that they're long lost twins. They then use this information to launch themselves into stardom, but what happens when the fake twins fly too close to the sun (ie. the A list)?

With Jordan Reising, Nigel Berkeley, and Gus Mahoney, the show parodies celebrity culture and of course, pays homage to the best film of the 21st century thus far, “The Parent Trap” staring Lindsey Lohan in her Oscar deserving roles.

Must be 21+ to attend.
