WOOF: What's On TV? // Nearly Dying

  • Eris Mainstage 167 Graham Ave Brooklyn, NY, 11206 (map)

DOORS: 6:45 PM

SHOW: 7:00 PM

The BCC is interested in a little narrative comedy, so we’d like to reintroduce WOOFs! These are 25-30 minute narrative shows in development that will share slots every Sunday at 7pm.

With free rehearsal times and the goal of a 60-minute narrative show, you could woof too. (We mean you should submit your show.)

Come see narrative comedic works like you know you want to.

This week:

What’s On TV?

by The Salty Nuts

In the words of Alexander Hamilton, “Hey yo, we’re just like our country, we’re young, scrappy and hungry!” We’re a sketch comedy group making our way back into a post pandemic world. We hung together on Zoom for what seems like 50 years and we now have some new members and new material we developed for our new sketch show about channel surfing.

Featuring:

  • Brooke Jacoby

  • Candy Dato

  • Darius Lack

  • Jared Pettit

  • Sam Simone

Nearly Dying

by Gail Tierney and Paola Sanchez Abreu

A sketch show that guffaws in the face of death and dying. The fun kind of undertaking, not the kind where they bury your body in the ground. One of our writers has nearly died a couple times, and the other one feels like she is going to die every single day (lol anxiety). We’ll take the audience on an absurd, meandering journey to the edge of mortality and back.

Featuring:

  • Gail Tierney

  • Paola Sanchez

  • Meredith Oechler

  • Aaron Bola

  • Alejandra Rivera Flaviá
