What’s it like to take an entire audience on a first date?
That’s what Kelly Cooper (adult swim) set out to explore in this interactive narrative play. Partially improvised, mostly scripted, and wholy experiential, this romantic solo show explores the faux pas and awkwardness of first dates (talking about your ex too much), being put on the spot (and accidentally telling an embarrassing sex story), and trying to make a connection when your options are vast…but you don’t know what you want.
Will Kelly win over the audience and prove she’s worthy of love? Will her desperation, past romances, and an overly enthusiastic waiter get in her way? But maybe the more important question is: Want to go on a date?
